In a letter sent to the UN Security Council on Friday, Riyad Mansour, permanent observer of Palestine to the United Nations, called for "an immediate reaction" from the UN to "express concern and appeal for restraint" following clashes between Israeli police and Muslim protesters in Jerusalem.
