UN criticizes Russia for constructions in Sochi

The United Nations has criticized Russia, saying it ignored the ecological effect of construction projects for the 2014 Sochi Olympics. In a report on preparation for Sochi Olympics, the United Nations Environment Program said government assessments did not take into account the effects of the Olympic projects on the region’s wildlife.
