ISTANBUL — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.8 shook eastern Turkey on Friday, causing some buildings to collapse and killing at least six people, the authorities said. The earthquake struck at 8:55 p.m. local time in eastern Elazig province, Suleyman Soylu, Turkey’s interior minister, told the Turkish news media.
