Gorillas and chimpanzees extinct by 2015?

Gorillas and chimpanzees will be virtually extinct within a decade unless drastic action is taken. Thats the message of a new study of mans closest animal relatives in Africa, and published in the journal Nature. Hunting and the deadly Ebola virus have contributed to a collapse in ape numbers in Gabon and neighbouring Congo, where four out of five of the worlds gorillas and most of its common chimpanzees live. Hunting used to be low-level and village-based but has become commercial scale.
